Hi people,
Here is the world Satori, for you to play through this week (#83).

First I would like to thank Bob Buttery for his CraigDholl material from Mojo default Libraries. That mat was used as a tamplate while making of this world. In the final version all the textures were changed , but I still use 2 curves between the mats from this preset. Big thanks, Bob.

About the world:
Besides the usual mountains, water and moon it has the spikes( nothing new though:). Spikes have there own displacements and mats, awhich were build using Calyxa's "Stone Roses" tutorial. Thanks a lot, Caly. However the spikes have been optimized (?) not to show all over the place.

Note: It's sometimes (most of the time on my PC:) difficult to spot the spike in your RTR. Move SLOWLY! The are suppose to be a couple very big spikes (11km) in the world, although I haven't found any. Most of them are relatevely small. And here is another problem - the displacement blends were not optimised to place spike displacement only on the big spikes. So there some spikes that could be 1 m (10cm, whatever) high, but be displaced by 500-600m RS from the mat. You know what that mean in the most cases - some ugly shapes, folding on themselves, exploading and producing some nasty artifacts. Uuuuhhh...

So I strongly recomend, that you make a low-rez checks of your sceens, even if you see no spikes in the RTR. The displacement mat can be optimised ( I think using some technique, described by Caly a long time ago in the "jbaadd.mjw"), but I had no time and no machine power to do that.

There are many sliders. Some of them produce not much changes (oops..). The one that can be handy is the "Hide Spikes" slider. If you don't want the spikes in your sceene or they are too ugly to be in it, drag it all the way out.

Cheers...
